Monbana, born from a wartime friendship, evolved from an industrial designer's vision in 1934 to become a distinguished chocolatier. In the 1950s, Jean and Paul, sons of founder Louis Guattari, expanded the brand, specializing in quality chocolate powder and introducing dietary products. The late 1970s brought the innovative Neapolitan, and by the 2000s, Monbana became a global force, catering to major coffee shops and industry leaders. In 2008, the brand ventured into the retail space, launching its own gourmet collection and "Chocolaterie MONBANA" shops, offering a diverse array of chocolate-flavoured delights beyond the ordinary.
